International Game Technology (IGT) will present its Cobalt 27 (VLT) video lottery terminals in Canada. Through a deal with Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries Corporation (MBLL), IGT’s Cobalt terminals will be installed in the country for the first time.
The company signed an agreement with MBLL for the supply of 960 units. These machines are equipped with two 27-inch high-definition screens, body lighting and a five-button static player panel, as well as built-in USB charging ports.
They will host IGT content, including the popular Temple of Fire Cash Eruption, Big City 5, Five Times Pay, Power Keno and Double Double Bonus Poker slots.

Importantly, the agreement will further expand IGT’s presence in Canada, where the company already boasts a strong foothold, especially in relation to VLT. Previous deals have led IGT to place terminals in April in other locations, including in Atlantic Canada, under an agreement with the Atlantic Lottery Corporation.
However, IGT’s deal with MBLL will see the deployment of Cobalt VLTS in Canada for the first time. According to IGT Senior Vice President, Canada, South and Central America, David Flynn, VLTs have proven to be popular in other markets as well: success in Manitoba. We believe that our efforts will eventually be rewarded.”
He added, “Cobalt VLT will feature market-driven content, including the highly successful commercial game Temple of Fire Cash Eruption. It is specially adapted for VLT operators. These solutions allow MBLL to upgrade their VLT games with best-in-class hardware and keep gamers entertained with interesting themes.”
